What's Out There for Emerging Professionals?

Are you new to the AIA Central States Emerging Professionals group?  Do you wonder what opportunities might be available to you?  If you are an Associate AIA member or a AIA member licensed fewer than 10 years, check out how you can get involved!

NEW OPPORTUNITIES...
2015 was the inaugural year of the AIA CSR EP Leadership Scholarship which will be sending two emerging professionals to both AIA National Convention and the AIA Central States Conference.  These scholarships are worth $2,500 a piece!  Applications were due March 27th.  Winners to be announced soon.

VOLUNTEER + OUTREACH
University Outreach

The state components of our Emerging Professionals Committee maintain a presence at university career fairs for portfolio review and mock interviews.  

 Coming soon... we are looking for firms willing to help fund an effort to distribute materials to university students advertising AIA and opportunities for emerging professionals.  For more info, contact Josh Westerman at  or Shane Algiere at .

 Student Design Competition

Twelve teams from the eight schools of architecture in the Central States Region competed in the 2014 Student Design Competition.  This year, we are hoping to meet or exceed last year's success at the Central States Conference in Des Moines!  Do you live in Des Moines and have firm resources to offer to visiting students?  Contact Jessica Reinert at   to get involved.
