The Central States Emerging Professionals Committee is proud to announce our support of Lanny McIntosh for AIA President. Lanny is running for 2017 First Vice President / 2018 President Elect. In 2015, Lanny represented our region on the AIA Strategic Council and served as the AIA National Strategic Council's moderator. Lanny is an esteemed leader within the Central States Region and has been a great advocate of Emerging Professionals. We know that Lanny is the right Architect to lead our profession.

"Companies that embrace diversity and inclusion in all aspects of their business statistically outperform their peers." -Lanny McIntosh
Lanny's Platform is targeted at 3 Desired Impacts:

Impact 1:  It should be our goal to fuel, or jump-start demand by diverse young people wanting to enter our profession.

Impact 2:  It should be our goal to have clients and members who understand the value proposition.

Impact 3:
It should be our goal to lead the conversation, influencing the general public and public officials on the great issues of our time. Climate change, resiliency, water security and health, to name a few.

Lanny has proposed creating an Endowment to help encourage youth in at-risk communities to pursue architecture. He has also highlighted the importance of women in architecture. As President, Lanny wants to create tangible guidelines that businesses can use to make inclusive teams.
