Laura Boler, Associate AIA

Senior Committee Co-Chair
Term: 2018-2019

Project Manager at BRR Architecture

Laura is a Program Manager at BRR Architecture and is part of a studio in the firm’s Merriam, Kansas headquarters. She joined BRR a year and a half ago, but has 7+ years of professional experience. She is an alum of The University of Kansas and has her Masters of Architecture with an emphasis in Health & Wellness Design. Her senior project, titled ‘Technology & the Future of ICU Design’, was published, and while at KU, Laura studied abroad in Spain, France and the UK.

While her education and early career focused on healthcare design, Laura ventured to a new tract when she joined BRR. She currently helps lead a team of design professionals working on a national retail program. This specific focus resonates well with Laura’s belief that architecture has the opportunity to transform ordinary spaces in a way to impact the communities they serve. Day to day, Laura is involved in all facets of design and client management, from initial concept development and programming, to construction document production, business development and client relations. Laura is a champion of community service for her team as well, and has worked with multiple Kansas City-area organizations this past year, including Harvesters Community Food Network, Catholic Charities, and Cross-Lines Community Outreach.

Laura is an Associate AIA member and in the process of completing her AREs. Beyond her involvement in the Central States Region Chapter, she is also actively involved in the AIA Kansas City Chapter and serves on the AIA-KC Pillars Leadership Program’s Steering Committee.
