Jacob Laha, AIA, is a graduate of Kansas State University. He graduated in 2008 with a 5 year Masters of Architecture. While at Kansas State, he spent 7 months away from campus interning with a small firm in New York City. During school, he served on the Architecture Student Advisory Board, including a term as its president.
After graduating, he practiced in Wichita for five years, with focus on municipal projects. While in Wichita, he served on the AIA Wichita Board and on the Wichita’s Historic Preservation Board. He moved to Kansas City in 2013, participated shortly after in AIA Kansas’ emerging leaders program Blox and is currently serving on the AIA Kansas Board as a Director at Large.
In 2015, Jacob received a Treanor grant to study technology in architecture, exploring methods in 3D printing and digital fabrication. Jacob has a passion for making and is excited for the opportunity and collaboration afforded by the Central States Emerging Professionals.
