Shane Algiere, Associate AIA, is an intern architect at Dake Wells Architecture in Springfield, MO. Shane is defined by a deep work ethic, endless curiosity and passionate self-improvement.
Shane is a graduate of the Hammons School of Architecture at Drury University where he received a Bachelor of Architecture in 2010. While at Drury, Shane studied abroad at the Volos School of Design in Greece. Early in professional development Shane gained experience through externships at Olson Kundig Architects in Seattle and Chicago-based firms Wheeler Kearns Architects and Valerio Dewalt Train Associates.
Shane believes in the power of design to improve quality of life and enjoys exploring this potential in public spaces. Shane believes that schools are among the most important spaces in our communities and works hard to create educational environments that instill confidence and curiosity as an integral ingredient to the growth of tomorrow’s leaders.
Shane was a volunteer in the aftermath of the tornados in Joplin, MO (2011) and Moore, OK (2013). Shane shares a passion for building quality construction that protects, inspires and endures. It is this passion that drives him to advocate on behalf of the profession for architectural integrity and meaningful design.
