Maria Angelica Prado is an intern architect at Guernsey in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. During her 3 years at Guernsey she has worked on several projects covering all aspects of a project from conceptual design through construction administration. She has had the opportunity to work on some exciting projects such as the NBA Thunder Practice Facility, the Will Rogers World Airport Consolidated Rental Car Facility, a Readiness Center for the Oklahoma Military Department, and recently acted as the lead design architect for the award-nominated Fire Station #8 for the City of Lawton, Oklahoma.
Maria Angelica was raised in both the state of Oklahoma and the country of Venezuela. She brings her bicultural upbringing and experiences to all of her projects by carefully considering globalization, immersive experience, and social impact. A graduate of Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Architecture, and an inductee of Tau Sigma Delta Honor Society in Architecture and Allied Arts, Maria Angelica spent time in school refining her passion for globalization by spending a semester in Europe and focusing her effort on discovery. Maria Angelica is most passionate about working on civic and social projects that impact the lives of citizens including public safety facilities.
Maria Angelica is a member of AIA and ULI and while in college was an active member and served as
an officer for AIAS. Maria is currently in the process of testing for her licensure.
