Kevin Wagner joined Substance Architecture in 2011, after making the move from Chicago to Iowa in 2005. While at substance, Kevin has managed several corporate, residential, and board of regents design projects. He recently led the design of, and constructed, a pro-bono Parklet installation that received a 2016 AIA National Small Project Award and has been featured in several design publications.
He received his Bachelors of Architecture from Iowa State University, where he served as a teaching assistant and mentor, and continues to participate as a critic on design juries. His work as a student and professional has received numerous awards at the state and national level, and has been featured in national and international publications and exhibitions.
Kevin has presented workshops at state-wide conferences as Co-Chair of the AIA-Iowa Emerging Professionals Committee and has served as Associate Director on the AIA Iowa Board of Directors. He currently serves as Chair of the Iowa Young Architects Forum, a local professional chapter dedicated to creating and fostering a greater creative community in Iowa.
